For the Lifetime Fitness project delivered under Hensel Phelps, AF Steel Fab executed a highly coordinated and detail-driven structural steel and miscellaneous metals scope that supported the creation of a premium, high-traffic commercial fitness facility.
The work included the installation of wide flange and HSS columns and beams, HSS bracing systems, roof and floor deck with supporting angles and headed stud anchors, along with complex edge conditions such as bent plate ledger at deck edges and CMU tie angles. AF Steel also delivered a full package of architectural and access steel, including stair systems, stair rails, pipe rail assemblies, guardrails, cane railings, ladders, parapet support posts, eyebrow framing, and rooftop framing elements.
Through disciplined sequencing, precise field coordination with Hensel Phelps, and a strong emphasis on safety and quality execution, AF Steel ensured that all structural and miscellaneous components were installed accurately and efficiently. The completed scope reflects AF Steel’s ability to perform on fast-paced, architecturally sensitive commercial projects where coordination, craftsmanship, and reliability are critical to project success.
